Bose Mrinalini

(1887-1918)

Sri Aurobindo's wife. Her father — Bose Bhupal Chandra from Calcutta. At 14 years old at 30 Apr. 1901 she married to Sri Aurobindo. After a honeymoon at Naini Tal she and Sri Auronido's sister, Sarojini, moved at Baroda. Girls stayed not for a long time — for nobody at house did not speak at their mother tongue. And then at Baroda advanced an noisome pestilence. Sri Aurobindo and Mrinalini had an affection towards each other. However Aurobindp's absorption at political and literature action, and thereafter at a spiritual practice left a little room for joys of domesticity. 17 Dec.1918 Mrinalini died during epidemic influenza.
