Íîëèíè Êàíòà Ãóïòà (13 ÿíâàðÿ 1889 - 7 ôåâðàëÿ 1983), ðåâîëþöèîíåð, ôèëîëîã, ó÷åíûé, ëèòåðàòóðíûé êðèòèê, ïîýò, ôèëîñîô è ìèñòèê. Îí ðîäèëñÿ â Ôàðèäïóðå (Âîñòî÷íàÿ Áåíãàëèÿ) â çàæèòî÷íîé ñåìüå. Åùå þíîøåé îí îêàçàëñÿ ïîä âëèÿíèåì Øðè Àóðîáèíäî. Ïîñëå 4õ ëåò ðàáîòû â Presidency College â Êàëüêóòòå, îí îñòàâèë àêàäåìè÷åñêóþ êàðüåðó è ïðèñîåäèíèëñÿ ê íåáîëüøîé ðåâîëþöèîííîé ãðóïïå, óïðàâëÿåìîé Øðè Àóðîáèíäî.  ìàå 1908 îí áûë àðåñòîâàí ïî îáâèíåíèþ â òåððîðèçìå è íàõîäèëñÿ â àëèïîðñêîé òþðüìå. ×åðåç ãîä, ïîñëå îñâîáîæäåíèÿ, îí ðàáîòàë ïîìîùíèêîì ðåäàêòîðà â Äõàðìå è Êàðìàéîãå, äâóõ íàöèîíàëèñòè÷åñêèõ ãàçåòàõ, îñíîâàííûõ Øðè Àóðîáèíäî â 1909 è 1910 ãîäó. Îí áûë îäíèì èç ÷åòûðåõ ëþäåé, áûâøèõ â Ïîíäè÷åððè ñî Øðè Àóðîáèíäî ñ 1910 ãîäà. Óìåð â 1984. Ìàòü ãîâîðèëà, ÷òî îí ìîã ïî ñâîåé âîëå ïîäíèìàòüñÿ â ñôåðó Ñàò-×èò-Àíàíäû. Ïîñëå ñìåðòè Íîëèíè íåñêîëüêî ÷åëîâåê îïóáëèêîâàëè ñâîè âîñïîìèíàíèÿ î íåì.
